Well, its been a while since my last post and so much has happened, I don't even know where to start....
We've finally moved to the country in January and are slowly settling into the rhythms of our new life. The first few weeks were spent cleaning and making space for our few belongings and creating a home for the kids. Since the children have spent so much time at Granny's, the transition was very smooth and uncomplicated with the added bonus that now all of their toys and favorite things are here too. Really remarkable the way they handled the move. Now Tiger is with us as well, so our family is complete....wait, we are still without our chickens, as the kids remind us often. And we do miss their eggs.
Country life has changed some of our routines and our focus. We seem to have more time together as a family (even though Piers is still finishing our house in Seddon), we are busier with activities and we are eating better than ever.
That is helped by my revived passion for wholesome food, cooking and a new interest in vegetarian food. I discovered a new interest in grains and pulses. Moving just slightly away from our Mediterranean cooking, I have started including a variety of new ingredients....The kids are responding very well, and Piers....he misses the pastas...
So that brings me to a new addition to our blog. I will include some of our culinary adventures and favorite recipes for you to try. Cooking and enjoying fresh ingredients, trying out new recipes and seeing my family enjoy such a variety of deliscious fare is one of my greatest pleasures.
But first some photo updates of the three little ones
